Highly recommended. for women

This is my second pair of these shoes in black. I bought half a size larger than my usual shoe size and they fit perfectly. I'm a ballroom dancer and find them quite comfortable and attractive and I really liked them. I bought a wire brush that I use to clean the soles after each wear. The nap on the sole evens out after a few wears, but I'd rather buy a new pair at this price more often than have a pair that costs twice as much. I also have beige and like to wear it with non-black dresses as…

Pros
  • Soft and durable leather upper with leather covered heel
Cons
  • Not sure

These shoes are made for dancing.

I have just started dancing again after a very long time and I have noticed that everything has changed. especially the shoes needed for practice. I was advised to get good suede soled shoes and was told Bloch is a great brand. These Simona standard shoes are not only beautiful, but also very comfortable to wear, even for people like me who are used to walking barefoot or wearing flip-flops. Keep in mind that they are usually quite narrow. I have a wide foot and was worried that this would be…

Pros
  • Closed toe and heel in traditional style and protects the foot where the dancer is close to her partner
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Sleek and stylish

I started Ballroom in October so I'm still a beginner. But I have a pair of Bloch and Aris Allen dancing shoes and Simona is by far my favorite. It's a very elegant shoe and it dances beautifully. The 2 1/2" heel height is perfect for me as I'm 5'8" and have never liked really high heels. It offers enough heel height to keep me on tiptoe and easy to turn. - Crossed straps keep my feet in the turns. Even at size 9.5 my leg looks delicate! When one of the other girls in my class who wears a…

Bloch closed toe regular heel shoes

Just received these yesterday and wore them to a workout for 2 hours - they were quite comfortable and didn't feel bulky! I have fairly wide feet and the Capezio and Freed of London are not very comfortable for me. I went up a half size (I usually wear a 7.5-8) and ordered an 8.5 medium and it turned out to fit very well - the ankle/heel area is snug (important for heel turns) and the toe box is a little tight for the widest part of my legs but doesn't cause blisters. It is sewn well, the seams

Pros
  • Suede sole perfect for twists and slides
Cons
  • Safety

Soft elegance for shoes

I think these are my new favorite dance shoes. I usually wear a 7.5 but ordered 8 and they fit me perfectly. They looked tight but that's just a shoe style and the tight look is very elegant and makes my legs look long, especially in nude/brown leather. The leather is also extremely supple so there doesn't seem to be a need to break it in. The insole is surprisingly soft. Ultra comfortable. The heel height is also great because it's not a very high heel, but high enough to put the weight…

Pros
  • Suede sole
Cons
  • Some complexity

Save money, keep looking!

I've always heard great things about Bloch dancewear and my mom has a similar dance shoe that she loves. But after this pair I will never buy Bloch shoes again. First, the description was wrong. GOLD SHOES ARE NOT LEATHER! Faux leather outside. I bought them out of country because they were on sale and only one of my sizes was left. When I came back it was too late to return them. I wore them to a dance festival for a weekend, less than two hours each day, and the sole of one boot came off and…

Pros
  • Padded sockliner for comfort, cushioning and metatarsal protection
Cons
  • There are some downsides
