more buttons broken than I gave. If a metal fastener hits a plastic latch somewhere where it snaps, it will be ruined and will have to be thrown away. I should be a little more specific when installing the latches, maybe the metal latches. And yes I made sure of that and tried it more than once, when it hits the plastic latch it renders the latch useless and unusable. It's a "good enough" product, but you'll last a few shots.

I have no problem with that. If you need to use a smaller snap, remove the black part of the pliers with the screwdriver provided. Replace with a smaller black piece. Very happy and satisfied with the purchase. Those who have complained that something isn't working for them should sit down and learn how to use it properly. Be patient! They are so convenient and relatively easy to use if you find that the inner circle can warp if squeezed too hard to secure. Then the lock won't close. Hence 3 stars for reliability. Once put on they will NOT come loose without working on them and wanting them to fall apart. The instructions for the pliers are a bit questionable, but there are videos and instructions here at Revain. I used to have a fastener that I lost when we last moved. Ordered this as a replacement. I don't think I have a problem with the snap device, but rather with the snaps themselves. They seem to "flex" rather than install. I looked at dozens of shots trying to make a simple project. Larger shots seem to work much better. I bought these pliers to make a blanket for my hammock. Using two Costco down throws that I doubled, I added bottom and bottom edge buttons for the leg box and tucked in the bottom edges of the quilt.
