Put in a new disc, did a hard reset and still found you can still use your Xbox but you can't play the discs. Request a repair error, any suggestions?

The drive works but there is a terrible noise when there is no disk in the drive. Also, I have to keep the disc in the drive so the Xbox doesn't wake up if it's unplugged for some reason. Satisfied because he reads and plays games with no problems, only terrible quirks came with him. Maybe by accident?

I bought a used Xbox One S and was disappointed that it can't read discs. I ordered this new one, all I had to do was replace the old drive's original control board with this one, basically soldering 3 screws and 2 wires. Internally, the drive looked identical and functioned properly. All playback formats, game discs, Blu-ray and UHD Blu-ray tested and working!

The product did not fit. I wired the board according to the instructions and soldered the power cables as needed. There are no dice. Super loud when playing. The black plastic protrusions on the front of the player (see image) are not designed for the plastic receptacles of my thin jacks. So the player sat 1/2 inch behind.

Item says part number DG-6M5S. I received a part number DG6M1S that does not match my Xbox. There are various cutouts on the front panel that do not fit well into the case. The front panel needs to be replaced, which is not easy, and if done incorrectly, the drive can fail.

Due to the modifications that need to be made to replace the drive on the Xbox, although not too difficult, I give the Xbox a lower score for the design and the actual product for the failure within a month. Worked fine at first, didn't eject already loaded discs while reading. The seller is absolutely not at fault, but the product sold is questionable considering the necessary changes.

This product is useless as the drives and Xbox One (and other Xbox consoles too) are cryptographically linked so spare drives cannot play games. You drive a DVD, but it's a game console, not a DVD player. A clear warning must be given when purchasing this product. I then paid a local geek squad to install it. They said it doesn't work either. I am very unhappy that they pay back the full loan afterwards.
