I just received them about an hour ago. When opening a container. I realized that they weren't blue at all. That's one of the reasons I went with them. It shouldn't really matter what color the flakes are, because the weld seam can only have one color. Thing is, it's false advertising, if I have to say so. For now I give 2 stars. I used these in a 240v welder with amperage and trench settings. I used them as the first pass on a very rusty old narrow gauge railway. I sanded down the spots that needed welding as best I could, but there were still a few spots of rust that needed to be cooked through. These sticks burned very well, with little spatter and no sticking, and appeared to be as good as any sticks I've used. However, I didn't X-ray or DT the welds, but they looked very good.
