Good for marine wiring

All stainless steel, strong plastic part. I used it in my boat wiring project. This is a good way to centralize an area. Never use a body grounding electrode on a boat, it will cause you problems. All of your bases must reach the battery. That way you can connect 1 ground to your battery instead of running a bunch of wires there.

Perfect solution! - Electrical boxes, piping and fittings

Firstly, I like Blue Seas products, the quality is always top and this power rail is no exception. I already had a tangle of wires on my positive terminal on my solenoid and needed to add another 12 volt supply. I had this installed on the inner fender to keep things tidier and allow better access to future power needs. The lid feels secure and prevents accidental short circuits. I like the quality of this unit and there were no problems installing it. Thank you Blue Sea!

Ground bus in electric

For my project I needed to mount it on a flat surface so you might think you can only use one side of the bus. This item allows you to use both rows of the bus on one side. I used a different tire as I was desperate for a tire and found that the other tire was made in a smaller size that didn't allow me to easily move the wires to one side so it was a crowded bus. I need to remove 2 wires to service a circuit. This item won't overload your cables and allows you to service without having to…

Much less than I expected

Much less than I expected for a 100 amp bus. I'm pretty sure running this at 100 amps is a really bad idea. I wouldn't use this for anything over 20 amps and 12 gauge wire. For 100 amps the smallest copper wire you can use is 4 gauge wire, which is significantly larger than the average wire in my drawing. If you are using wires larger than 10 gauge, the smallest connector plug will be too big to fit. For 100 amps DC I use the 2/0 wire, the largest wire in my drawing. It makes this tiny bus…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • New competition has arrived

This review is for the Blue Sea Systems 4 terminal block with plastic cover. The product is solidly made and the plastic cap fits snugly onto the nut on each end. This is important to note because if the end nuts are twisted to noticeably different sizes, the cap will not fit either. It would be nice to have red AND black, but I could only find black. So I used black on each side. One important note: If you are using 3/8" spade/ring lugs, you will need to add a #10 stainless steel washer or…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • No instructions

Very strong tube connecting rod

I bought this to connect the negative parallel wires from my solar panel. I was hoping to get a 5 post bus but no luck. When I ordered I thought it was 3/8", but it turned out to be 5/16". However, since I had to assemble the battery cables, I just bought 5/16" wire end ferrules and put those on the cable instead. The cable from the mini circuit breaker has a 3/8" plug, but that didn't prove to be a problem proven because the nut makes good contact with the end, but I'll update once a nice…
