We were delighted to see this product, it looked much better than the plastic tubes. We filled them with water, not sand. Unfortunately they couldn't stand it, the wind picked them up and blew them into the pool. They were so problematic for us that we threw them away.

It's a waste of money because the plastic is so cheap it breaks if you just slide the covers. You move them after you fill them because they are so fragile that half the water spills out. If you manage to get one full without breaking, they're not heavy enough to be of any use.

Four of the six water coolers had cracks in the plastic covers and/or housing. But even if not, I would send them back. They are too small and not heavy enough to hold a pool cover. I went back to water filled bags.

We bought 2 sets which gave us 12 so we ordered 12 more They are great and outperform water filled hoses which break after just one use. We were able to fold the ends of the covers underneath so they fit snugly. We love them so far and the best part is that they fold up easily when we open the pool. You will not be disappointed with these holders.

For my first year owning a pool I used inner tubes and by the end of the first winter I had to throw away half due to punctures. I've been using them for 2 years and they are so much better! Not only do they hold my tarp better, but they are also easier to manage. I also received one of my containers broken and contacted customer service about the damage and they sent me a new one within days!
