🔵 Bluelab pH Controller - BLU8004, Blue Review

I just can't express how well this works. I never realized how much time I spent measuring and messing with PH levels. It seemed expensive, but the functionality is priceless. I highly recommend this device. I would never be without again.

I love Bluelab products. However, the pH controller I received from Revain did not include the acid tubing needed to supply alkaline liquids. The hose must be acid-resistant. Without them, the dispenser is useless. You can buy a handset from Bluelab, but it costs another $100. Edit: I received a partial refund from Revain. Thanks very much!

After using this unit for just a week I decided to go ahead and give a review. In my opinion the Bluelab PH Controller is a must have. severe headache in my hydroponic setup. Setup was very easy. Calibration was very easy. Setting up the dosing line was very easy. PH hasn't even worked since I installed Bluelab! Highly recommended!

Works as described. Not a big fan of the green LED bar that works 24/7. It would be nice if they installed a light sensor to turn it off at night. Contrary to popular belief, green light has a negative effect on photoperiod, but not as much as other parts of the light spectrum. Readings slightly different than the Blue Labs pH pen so it's hard to tell which is the right one. They're usually pretty close to where it doesn't really matter. The sticky suction cup that holds the pH probe to the side of the tank never gets stuck. Also note that the dosing pump is on a time cycle and will NOT dose based on your pH. 4 stars because it shows my pH 90% of the time and the other 10% I just go to the troubleshooting guide and do what it says. This fixed it every time.

Works exactly as described. Very easy to set up. No more checking the pH several times a day. Set and forget. Just calibrate when he speaks. This article has improved my quality of life. It just works. I fill the tank with fresh reverse osmosis water and the Bluelab pH controller fixes the pH for an hour. Manufacturers, stop wondering if this works. It does. It's worth it. Green light does not harm plants in the dark cycle. I upgraded my system to 5.8 and it stays there. Love it.

Hands down the best 290 Somods I've ever spent. Setup is very easy, calibration is very easy. I just had to open the manual to find out which port is the input and which is the output (the left input, btw). If you're manually dosing pH, just stop. Stop now and buy it. This product looks well built, no strange/sharp burrs due to cheap molding, the keys have good resistance to it, the display is bright and clear.
