Reliable product and as advertised!

I really like this smart outdoor Wi-Fi outlet. I bought this so I can use my voice to control my outdoor Christmas lights this year and it works great. I had a number of indoor WiFi sockets and the software I use to manage those sockets also works with that WiFi socket, so you don't have to install multiple apps to control multiple different smart sockets! I've now enabled sunrise/sunset via Alexa for this smart plug, so now Alexa will automatically turn my outdoor Christmas lights on and off…

Could use clearer link instructions but works great with Alexa

I had no trouble connecting to the (mandatory) Smart Life app. The problem occurred when communicating with Alexa. The instructions describe what each "power color" means. However, it doesn't tell you exactly how to get from one to the other. I'm not even sure what I did. But the first five attempts involve Alexa. it will not find the device. I would go back to Smart Life and erase the device. It has something to do with the transition from pairing mode (rapidly flashing blue) to arming mode…

Great Customer Service - Difficult app setup but good once you get going

2nd update: The service from this company is outstanding. For that alone you have to trust the purchase. It worked for me for a while, and then I turned around when I had another problem. They were attentive and resolved the situation. If the device works, then great. If it doesn't work, it will be taken care of. I wouldn't normally give 5 stars to a product I've had issues with, but I rarely see service this good. UPDATE: After a week of work, the app parted ways with Google and I can't get…

Be careful with the settings and choose the right app

So far so good. It's a monster of a setup, but after googling help articles on how to switch my wifi to my 2.4ghz ISP account, I was able to set it up and get it working. Really had trouble with the whole flashing light situation. The paper in the box said I need a fast blinking light, but the app said it should blink slowly. Eventually I realized that if I had read the instructions to the end before starting, I would have learned how to toggle between fast and slow flashing lights. At the end,

Great unit, not so good EZ setup

Received two of these today. The packaging is simple, with nicely printed comments and instructions. They work immediately when connected to the network. We tested three lamps in both at the same time, they all work. Enabling WiFi is not an easy task. First you need an application. The best way is to simply scan the QR code in the instructions to download it for your chosen phone operating system. We all have iOS and it was easy to download.
