Highly recommended. Best in cassettes and ratchets

This cassette is just as good as the more expensive Shimano cassettes. I bought an 11-36 and a 12-32, both gears are as good as a new bike.

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Not bad for a stroll around town

Not the most accurate cartridge but works for the money. The middle section gets sloppy; I use a Shimano chain. Suitable for city riding but not for mountain bikes.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Works great, needs long frame switch

Works great, comes with switch extender. My only complaint is that it was difficult to find a 9 speed derailleur with a long enough basket. I settled on a Microshift M26 (discontinued) which I found used. I'm still looking for a Shimano compatible clutch derailleur for it. The chain slap is incredible with such a large gear.

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Expensive

Chinese Warning! for parts and accessories

ATTENTION! Chinese. The metal used on the suspension extension is very soft and comes off with very little torque. Just hand tighten it and when I started loosening it to adjust the fit it ripped even with a careful hand. I have a lot of experience with mechanics and I didn't use a drill or cheap tools. This metal is just soft. The variant with the inner star could not be weakened either. I also lubricated the screw with non-stick grease 5 minutes before installing it.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I will write later

Not strong enough for climbing

Installation actually went smoothly. I have a rear derailleur with a long basket so I could build a 2x9. 32T and 22T in front and 11T-42T in rear, which is great for rock climbing. However, the cartridge quickly deteriorated. I weigh 170 pounds. I use a small 22T front chain for climbing. However, the largest 36-tooth and 44-tooth cassette rings buckled under load, causing the chain to disengage from the sprocket. i give it back

Pros
  • Doping 🔥
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Great for budget remodeling 1 x 9

This review is a cassette, not an extension. Upgraded my outdated 3x9 setup to a 1x9 and needed an inexpensive cartridge. I bought the 11x42 version, installed it with no problems, I was pleased with the smooth switching. I've tried many different cassettes (SRAM, Shimano, Microshift, etc.) and this one shifts just as smoothly as most. I installed the included hanger extension first, but after trying to bend it a bit to accommodate my crooked hanger, it broke. I bought another (heavier)…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Almost never

Works great for old gearboxes

Ah 90's. Well, back in the late '90s, when Shimano became obsessed with the idea of increasing the number of gears that would fit on a rear wheel. "9?!" they shouted. Well, that was also the time when riders thought the big 25-tooth cog was a "pie plate" (if only I could go back in time with an Eagle cassette). I've always had a Shimano 6500 Ultegra groupset in my heart, it was the nicest yet, very easy to set up and use and durable. It's not as "fussy" as my 11 speed bikes (not a 12 speed…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others
