Bonavita E300 4151 Glass Coffee Carafe Review

I bought this to replace my 1 liter carafe that came with the Bonavita BV1901PW Metropolitan One-Touch Coffee Brewer. This smaller size doesn't seem to fit on a coffee maker range. Doesn't seem to fit flat burner plate. Maybe not a big difference.

Product just arrived in recycled packaging with white tape on product label. There were no instructions for the product. Just lucky that the carafe didn't break. I paid the price for a new item that was previously returned but not packaged properly!

I bought these because the mug that came with my Bonavita Metropolitan coffee maker broke and I couldn't find a replacement carafe of the same size with Prime shipping. I only make 4 cups at a time so this is the perfect size for me. If you're making six to eight cups at a time, DO NOT buy this. I haven't had it long enough to speak about durability but I really hope it's better than the original which broke while washing dishes.

For pouring Bona Vita? no It is designed to hold hot liquid. Works no better than a coffee pot duster. It doesn't fit right at the top. In fact, it slides freely. It holds about the same volume of liquid as the filter holder, so if it's filled to the top, that amount will fit. Generally a disappointment.

I have an 8 cup Bonavita coffee maker. I broke 3 carafes in about 7 years. I've tried calling Bonavita directly in the past but it hasn't worked very well. I couldn't even get anyone to answer the phone, so I was glad to find that on Revain. There's only one problem. This carafe is so small (maybe 4 cups) that when I put the filter holder on it it's too far from the water shower to be sure the coffee grounds get wet, but I'm pretty sure my kitchen counter gets wet !
