Poor design is good for tools and equipment

While the 19mm weld head is the right size for a poly-v belt tensioner on a 2011 Honda Pilot, the 12 point head works because of what is required Torque not to move the clamp. This tool is good for rounding screws and that's about it. The 6 point socket should be welded on.

Pros
  • Good price
Cons
  • There are nuances

Perfect fit for a 2012 Acura MDX

I replaced the alternator and belt tensioner with a 2012 Acura MDX. I've tried several general purpose wrenches and they didn't work (slid off the nut easily). Universal tools with interchangeable heads were not suitable due to the small distance (AC wire gets in the way). This tool has proven excellent for removing and replacing the V-ribbed belt.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • boring packaging

Finally! Good

This was my fourth serpentine tool for my application. This was the one that worked without the collet nut slipping off or the bolt head rounding off. Had to run to the dealer once to have the original bolt replaced due to several failed attempts with various serpentine tools, as well as the only one with the correct built in weld bends that allowed the tensioner to drop to its maximum stopping point without hitting objects. in the engine compartment.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Very expensive

Best Accessory Drive Pulley Nut Access Tool

I purchased this advanced tool to access the locking nut on my 2001 Nissan Maxima. It was just the right length for the lever when loosening and tightening; and the correct offset to get to the nut in the center of the shim. Instead of crawling under the car I can reach it from above and now adjusting the serpentine belt is super easy and only takes a few minutes. Great tool and time saver without being greasy.

  • Enjoy

This is the second key I received with sockets on the wrong side.

The sockets shown in the picture in the advert are welded correctly on one picture and on the wrong side on the other. For proper use on the Honda K24, the bushings had to be welded to the machined surface, not the unmodified area of the stem. The angle of the rod should face the firewall for easy and efficient tape removal. The current setting actually reduces the amount of traction you get. This is the second in a row that I have received with sockets on the wrong side. The rod is also…

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

The product is a serpentine key but still not what I was hoping for.

I bought this tool (I deliberately paid more than the regular serpentine tool) because it was advertised specifically for my engine. On the K24 engine (I have a Honda Element) the slot for the belt tensioner is so narrow that I couldn't physically place this tool on the tensioner. I also had to remove the side motor mount. After removing the side motor mount I was able to use the tool. But with the engine side bracket removed I could use any cheap general purpose belt tensioning tool. The tool…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Nothing here
