I bought this tool (I deliberately paid more than the regular serpentine tool) because it was advertised specifically for my engine. On the K24 engine (I have a Honda Element) the slot for the belt tensioner is so narrow that I couldn't physically place this tool on the tensioner. I also had to remove the side motor mount. After removing the side motor mount I was able to use the tool. But with the engine side bracket removed I could use any cheap general purpose belt tensioning tool. The tool is what it says, but I was hoping I wouldn't have to remove the motor mount to use it.
