Terrible corkscrew. Part of the lever is too far from the spin. They do not align when unscrewed, so the corks break in half when removed.

I love this design! I'm on my second in this exact model after wearing the first. I like the rotating blade for removing plastic wrap from the top of the bottle. The best design I've found.

I don't think I'm asking too much. I mean I had a bottle (there was a cork in it) I wanted it to open. I didn't ask for anything out of the ordinary from this thing (it's a corkscrew, after all. It pretty much has a job). I was disappointed. I needed pliers to remove the screw. The only corkscrew I've ever had to carry! Look at the photo but it broke down in less than a year of use!

Unfortunately this item arrived in terrible condition. As you can see, the packaging looks like it's been through hell, and unfortunately there's a layer of dirty, sticky goo on the corkscrew. I've tried cleaning, soaking, and cleaning again, it just won't come off. And the first time I used it, I noticed that the metal part doesn't stay on the neck of the wine bottle at all. Overall, this product is just a waste of money, please don't buy it.

I was willing to buy the simplest and lightest corkscrew money can buy, that's probably the CO2 cartridge type, but as a pragmatic person I didn't want to have an empty CO2 cartridge in my hour of need, so I decided for the mechanical type that used slight leverage and was offered at a modest price.
