I'm a bit disappointed. I ordered the keychain.

I'm a bit disappointed. I ordered the style with a key ring clip but received a thin plastic clip. The payouts aren't great either. Hangs down about 3-4 inches.

Great fishing tackle!

This little piece is a godsend for trimming braid or mono, especially when changing lures or end tackle on the fly. Very sharp micro-serrated blades cut quickly and cleanly. No tousled braid! Clips to my belt loop so it's out of the way but always close at hand. I love this tool!

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Some problems

Great for the price!

At $14, that's a great deal. I lost my last Gerber cable shears which cost twice as much as these. I especially wanted something with a line to hang from my sling pack when fishing with a steelhead rod. The first thing I did when I got them was try them on with a string. I use a 10lb power pro on my machine and they cut it easily with no wear! Mono and moirΓ© cuts even easier! I'll order a few more for the tackle box.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Too long to wait

First select the cutting line.

Cuts the line way better than anything I've ever used. Nail clippers work very well with mono, but not so well with scythe. I like it because I only have to take one tool to cut something. In most cases, it does not wear the line, or does not wear it as much as other cutters. The size is great! I store them in my tackle box much easier than other braiding shears and hang them on my shirt when I'm fishing. It's quicker and easier to use than scissors.

Boomerang Tool - Great for braided line and more.

One of the best braided line shears I have found. The boomerang tool is very light, handy and very sharp. It also has a split ring and a 36 inch retractable lanyard that you can attach to your vest, fishing jacket, tackle box or anywhere you want to attach it. The boomerang tool is great for tying bait onto braided lines and cutting off the ends of the pendants. The product is very well made and will not rust because the boomerang tool is made of high quality stainless steel and durable hard…

Great rocking device.

Loved having this on my recent trip. This made me much more confident in rough water when trying to cut the line. I use the wire cutters that come built into my pliers but the blades fail and dull. This is the best option. I attach the towel to the belt loop, so I added it to the same ring. He stood aside and weighs nothing. I liked that it stayed out of the way until I needed it and then bounced back when it was done. It has strong traction and doesn't snap or hang. I went for the long nosed…
