Boomerang Two Step Touch Waiters Corkscrew Review

Great wine key! You won't find anything better. The look, quality and feel are first class. This item is sexy and will catch everyone's eyes. I work in upscale country clubs with dynamic atmospheres and use wine keys every day. Have no qualms about buying this one. Price? Its worth it. You are guaranteed to be satisfied with this purchase.

Possibly the best corkscrew in the world. I was given a similar model years ago at Murphy Hood Winery and was heartbroken when it broke ten years later. The integration of the foil cutter and the waiter's corkscrew is ingenious. I don't know why this style is so hard to find but I've been looking for a replacement for a long time. This one is better. The plastic is pretty strong and I like the light spring loading on the two-stage lever. Everyone should have at least one.

Purchased in March 2012 thinking it was a durable quality built to last given the description of the 'waiter' tool. After about 4 years of home use, the main shaft broke in April 2016. A little disappointing. Was a pleasant tool while it lasted, but it's hard to believe that in my experience this opener will hold up to heavy use. Perhaps the silicone is not suitable for long-term use. Now I'm looking for this design in metal. If I find any, I'll update this post.

This is a much better corkscrew than the one I bought in Italy for opening wine in our hotel room. The Boomerang Two-Step easily pulls the cork straight up. The foil cutter is simple and easy to use. The corkscrew it replaced pulled the cork out at an angle of about 30 degrees to the neck of the bottle. I had to keep screwing the worm back into the cork before I could "pull" it out. The standard foil scraper is nowhere near as fast and clean as the Boomerang.

I like this wine key. I used to be afraid to open a bottle of wine at the table. I was so hesitant I didn't even bring a list of wine bottles to greet my tables. The foil always seemed the hardest to cut (especially to get a clean cut), and with my only hinged corkscrew, I even had to get up from the table to borrow someone's wine key just to open a bottle. I bought this because I needed a corkscrew that might be good for traveling and it was a two stage corkscrew with no blade. It also had great reviews. Unfortunately, it has two main problems. At first it looked like there was a positioning spring or something to set up the two-stage lever, but it broke on first use. I twisted the lever, felt the spring push (I think) and then a little "pop". Then the lever was not set automatically, but had to be positioned. Second, the two-stage part basically
