The chairs are very sturdy and easy to assemble. They come with nylon pads on each leg. However, 2 of the 8 chairs we received were broken. I attach pictures. A seat back cover had bubbled. One of the seats has been filled with putty on wood and the color is not the same. One of the backrests is torn where the backrest strap fits. And the back of a chair (not pictured) has a 3-4 inch scratch. The other six chairs have a few scratches, but they are minor and not in an obvious place. They were…

First, there were no instructions on how to assemble them. Luckily I was able to find out for myself. Second, one of the parts of the seat was scratched. The scratch is on a lighter wood so it's not really obvious but I know it's there. Third, and most importantly, one of the legs did not have matching holes, preventing the chair from being assembled. We have replaced 8 kitchen chairs with these. They were somewhat easy to assemble by simply inserting the screws at an angle, assembly took a little longer. The chairs look nice but as they are inexpensive you have to be a bit more careful. We found that if we were dragging the chair for something, the black color could rub off more easily than we'd like.
