Terrible Catalytic Converter for Cars

After trying this product, I noticed no improvement in my emissions. The automotive shop told me it was not compliant and I had to fork out more money for a different converter. The only pro was that it was easy to install. However, the negative impact it had on my car's performance and the additional expense made it not worth it.

Pros
  • Helps reduce harmful emissions from your vehicle.
Cons
  • May fail to meet emissions standards in certain states or regions.

Perfect fit for my 2004 Nissan Frontier 2WD 2.4L. Screwed directly to the series flanges without any problems, everything is aligned and works great. I didn't need the hole for the O2 sensor in the new cat so I left a screw there to plug in. This cat came without gaskets so I ordered new gaskets and screws for a total of about seventy dollars - much better than dealer prices!

Pros
  • Item Type: CAR PART
Cons
  • So far so good

Non-OEM Quality Emissions

This review is based on a 1995 Nissan Sentra setup that Revain claims will fit. Although I was able to install this, there are some differences that are different and inferior to the OEM versions. 1. The heat shield is nothing more than a piece of sheet metal welded to the block. The OEM heat shield covers a much larger area and has a much fuller clearance to the unit including O2 sensor protection. This unit has a hole for the O2 sensor so the sensor mounts straight down instead of on the side

Pros
  • Package Weight: 7.05 lbs
Cons
  • I don't like anything about it, everything is fine
