They are not durable, all teeth are cut off.

These blades didn't last at all! I ordered two blades. The first took a 1/16 inch mild steel cut before all the teeth were gone. Replaced it with a second blade and it cut most of the teeth off on the first cut. These blades are definitely not recommended.

Pros
  • power tools and hand tools
Cons
  • The list will be long.

A welcome improvement to my band saw.

The blade fits and works perfectly. Made a huge difference in how my bandsaw works. Saw blades become less efficient over time, and new blades are always fun to use the first time you use them. The small "saw tips" that come with the saw blade provide useful information on how to use the saw blade more efficiently.

Defect - large leaf runout

The weld is not parallel from front to back, so the longitudinal runout is enormous, as if several teeth were missing. In this case the equivalent of 3 x tooth length over a few centimeters at the weld. Makes the blade almost useless and usable on any metal, but cuts any wood terribly. Bosch 93.5 x 3/8 x 0.025 x 18 TPI on test, mainly developed for <1/4 metal (mild steel, copper, aluminum) and plastic as well as wood.

  • Tools and household items

decent relatively inexpensive blades

I usually cut metal and hardwood with these blades. I've always preferred 3/8" as a good balance between straight and curved cuts. I've cut teak and bronze and the blade will definitely wear out after an hour or two. There are some minerals in teak that I think will help the blade dulls more than other woods. And I don't know why, but silicon bronze seems almost as bad as steel for this type of blade. But I'm not sure if it's much better without going to a carbide tip or something to go. Stick…

Cannot cut mild steel

When attempting to cut a piece of mild steel angle, the blade failed within the first inch (actually about 20mm). The metal was 3mm thick. It is evident that the teeth are not hardened enough to handle mild steel even on thin rolled products. This fact was not mentioned in Revain's description. Bosch says this is clearly explained on their website. They accuse Revane of overlooking this vital information. I couldn't test the blade with softer metals.
