One of the best brands

Everything is imported junk these days and it's very hard to find decent drills. They're not as good as the old Bosch ones, but compared to everything else, they're probably the best value for money. The edge holds well and sharpens fairly well, so I use it when I need good holes in metal.

Pros
  • Withstands high temperatures for long periods of time (up to 1100 degrees Fahrenheit)
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Great value drill bit that handles hardened steel with ease

Oil handles it all with no problems. Just note that as this is a 1/2 inch drill bit you will need a drill bit that fits this size drill bit.

Pros
  • Hardened surface for penetrating hard, abrasive materials
Cons
  • Not as thick as other screwdrivers

Snaps cleanly with minimal torque.

Maybe others were lucky and mine broke on the first hole. Did it through 1/4" steel at a relatively slow speed and once it broke through the bit tightened slightly and the bit sheared off halfway down the shank. I would write to the seller but the rush to return is one Spending $15 on this drill expect the same result so take it easy once the material is removed I never thought a 1/2" drill could shear off so easily with minimal torque can, but nowadays anything is possible.

Pros
  • Best for drilling light metal, high carbon steel, aluminum and alloys, cast iron, stainless steel and titanium
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
