Bosch EX1006 Straight Shank Extension Review

This product was vastly superior to several others I have tried. It worked great. When using the Hole Hawk, the others twisted, throwing them off balance. I highly recommend this tool!

As an electrician I was hoping for this extension, I can say that as an electrician the standard drill bit size is 7/8. So if the head of this extension is 7/8 then the purpose of the extension will be defeated if the head of the extension barely goes through the hole. In my opinion this is a big mistake in planning this expansion so yes it will bear fruit but I really wonder how long it will take. In theory, if you just made a 12 inch auger, they would sell like hotcakes.

Bosch tools are usually a safe bet in my opinion. This extension is garbage. The set screws are smaller than any extension I've ever used from any other brand. At first it seemed like an inconvenience because I needed a second allen key. On first use, one of the set screws came out and got stuck in the hole I drilled while scraping the hell out of the outside of the extension.
