Disappointing performance

As a result of using this product, I found that it lacked power and the hammer mechanism was unreliable. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Low power and unreliable hammer mechanism.

Great chisel but needs a strong rock drill

Works great but too big for my rock drill. I was only able to drill about an inch before the clutch in my drill began to work. Due to the limitations of my drill bit, I couldn't push enough and had to "hold" it to drill deeper. With a big punch, nothing can stop this little one. I had to take a 3 inch chisel. My hammer drill was a 1-1/2" Hitachi FYI.

Pros
  • One piece construction
Cons
  • Expensive

A real workhorse for masonry drills

The description says "Maximum core size 2-5/8" deep." I just cut a 2" hole in an 8" thick concrete wall. It worked great - the cores broke off into 2-3 inch pieces from the vibration of the hammer drill (Makita HR4041C). There were no instructions included, so I did my best to guess how to use it. "Dry drilling" is no problem. Once the hole started well I removed the pilot drill (drill in the middle) and the rest of the way through the wall went smoothly. I estimate the hammer drill took about…

Pros
  • Solid shank for better power transmission
Cons
  • Slightly torn
