you had a job in Laser Levels & Accessories

It looks like a well built unit and I really liked that it can be adjusted to tilt the laser line by locking the head. (Nice feature). The problem is that the line was misaligned, which, you guessed it, is a pretty big problem for a laser level. I bought a Dewalt replacement that cannot block the laser but actually works like a bubble level. Again the nature of the most important work. I suspect I just have a bad blockage as I've been happy with Bosch tools in the past.

One more note on laser levels and accessories

Can't beat the price. A quality tool with many functions. Yes, you can't see it outdoors, but it's not meant for outdoor use. The only thing that bothers me is that once the laser is fixed it flickers. I don't really understand why Bosch thought this was a good idea. If I put the device on a tripod, let it level itself, and then fix it, I want to move the laser in a vertical or horizontal plane without the beam flickering. It's difficult to work with the level line flashing every few seconds…

Nice laser level but you can feel the value of the technique

In general, this is a laser level. If you mount it on a tripod, you get an even cross. I really like that you can lock the plane - often you want to work on something that needs to be out of plane (railings, putting pictures on the stairs etc) and this is perfect for the DeWalt equivalent of this laser ( DW088K) but I had to replace it because it was stolen. This one has a dimmer light in comparison and just feels cheaper and less reliable. The case is twice the size it should be and has an…

Bright, easy to use, self-leveling, very large display area

I have an old laser level. Three years have passed and you would think the technology has stayed the same. I was wrong. The difference between my old laser level and this one is stark. I put them both on a stand and this one is twice as bright. Also the beam spread is much larger. This covers almost 180° in space. My other didn't cover such a large area. In addition, it has a self-leveling function, which is very convenient. It will tell you when you are within the parameters of the…

Digital chalk line. buy

can't believe it took me so long to get one of these. Certainly expensive, but sooooo comfortable. When it comes to drywall, I've run screws into a stud more than 90% of the time. now it's 100% since i can turn that bolt on bolt and tighten the screws on the wire and NEVER miss. My cabinets use a mounting rail. I put a single reference mark on one side of the kitchen at just the right height, drawing a line across all three walls (try this with a chalk box!). All the rails are at the perfect…

Virtual chalk line - it's like having a second pair of hands!

Ever since my kids grew and moved, I've been missing a second pair of hands to draw a line with chalk. No longer needed as this tool works great and draws a clean line. I used both a plumb and a level. You must manually position it within 4 degrees of the plane/plumb and it will automatically align beyond that point. The laser will blink until you're within 4 degrees so it's pretty easy to set up. I hung it on the front wall to get some string for installing the ceiling panel grid and it has…
