Most tachometers are pre-wired. Not that it was hard work, but it was necessary. The tachometer works great and fits my '55 Chevy.

I love that retro touch! Bought probably a dozen in the last few years. for my collection of hot rods and muscle cars! The period is correct, very accurate, great price and top quality! This product is highly recommended!

It was almost perfect except for the green backlight and the LED. Cannot be replaced with a lightbulb or by adding gel. My car has white lights that have been made green for all my gauges and the speedometer to match the tachometer. Selectable white/green/red would make this perfect.

The back of the tachometer (cup) could not be removed for wiring. It was assembled incorrectly. The front panel was crimped around the cup, making it solidly assembled! It just had to be crimped around the inner case. I'm not sure if this was a timely incident or if there's a whole bunch of them here. Just let me know when you order one. Otherwise, the product makes a high-quality impression.

This Bosch tachometer was clearly returned by someone else and then sent back to the warehouse for someone else to have a problem with. The hollow nut that secures the bracket to the tachometer housing has snapped off and cannot be removed. someone has tried it before and is very obvious because of the damage. Touch doesn't work. Installed on the pillar in my Impala 60 and looked great. I reassembled the wiring, made the correct connections and routed the wiring neatly. Fired the 348 Tri Power and the needle didn't budge. I checked all the cables and connections again, but nothing. If you're looking for a tach with great retro styling and looks, then this is it. So I ordered my new classic touch from Revain and it arrived the next day. But the glass cracked and I was so disappointed because I wanted to install it in my 67th Buick GS 400. And it was packaged so well I couldn't believe the glass was broken.
