Tie That Dog!: Training and Behavior Manuals

We use this product to tie our Great Dane (110 lbs) when camping. Works like clockwork. I use this product with "Giant Stake" http://www.amazon.com/Four-Paws-100203929-Giant-Stake/dp/B0002APLYI/ref=sr_1_1?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1395776266&sr=1-1&keywords =Huge+Tie+out+stake I recommend this setting to anyone with a big dog.

Pros
  • Easy to Read Control Panel
Cons
  • Questionable Purchase for Seniors

No kinks, no breaks - ties and stakes

My beagle pup wrecks outer leads. She uses one for her own safety but has been known to damage several. I think I went through 3 $8 leads from Walmart in a month before buying this one. It's reliable and durable. If she breaks it it's only because she learned how to use wire cutters and I'll buy a similar product when I get better at hiding sharps.

Good product, best learning and behavioral aid

We bought two of these to use on our Labrador and English Setter trips. They both weigh just over 60 pounds, but these ties are more than enough for them. If you've had a dog of this size trying to fight preemption you might want to go bigger, but they worked great for us. We were looking for something in color rather than gray so they can be seen better and fit perfectly. I see another reviewer mentioned a bad smell, but we didn't have that issue with the two we received.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • A little torn

Very good quality - perfect for chewing

We do NOT routinely tie our dog (fenced yard) but use this tie when we would like one of our dogs to be in the front yard with us while we are in the Gardening or sitting on the porch talking to the neighbors so our dog is almost always supervised on a tie unless we go in to get something quick. This tie is IDEAL for tying a strong 100lb male German Shepherd. Other nylon tie products are fine, but if you have a chewer (or a man intent on reaching a woman in heat) then I highly recommend using a

So far so good in bindings and rates

I have ordered two identical bindings for two different sized dogs (one over 100 pounds and one over 50 pounds). I should have read a little better because this is for dogs under 60 pounds. Luckily my 100 lb dog isn't aggressive or young and my husky is used to being tethered in the yard so he's pretty good at not being pulled. There is a spring on one end which makes me a bit nervous but since no dog goes outside when I'm away and they aren't aggressive I just keep an eye on them. You just…
