i have dobe It has enough power for that.

I have Dobe. It has enough strength to keep it tethered, but rust is an issue. Bought 2, now ordered the 3rd. Both only lasted 8 months. The cable will rust where it meets the clasp when the plastic coating is peeled off exposing the wire with daily use. It's hard to find a long, strong zip tie, so I keep buying and replacing this one. I live in the forest and many forest animals, deer, turkeys, etc. come into the yard, I have to guard them at dusk, otherwise she will chase them. Forest after…

Unsuccessful. But so far the best

So far this cable has lasted the longest of the five. Just a little over 14 months for us. My 70lb GSD (climber) keeps breaking them! I liked how long it was and felt extremely durable right from the start. The clip was very awkward to attach/remove from the collar at times, but was very reliable. This cord is always left outside (my dogs are lap dogs) and the free end hangs on a hook by the patio door when not in use, causing the cord's coating to stretch and crack exposing the interior to the

This leash has a flaw

I bought this leash in March 2016. My dog weighs about 130 pounds. but she is an invalid, she has almost no strength in her hips or hind legs. When I bought it I thought it would never wear out or break. I usually buy a smaller (lighter) cord to tie them on the outside but the problem with them is that they wrap around her legs and I can't let that happen to her. Yesterday, to my surprise, she got off the leash and is sitting in a different part of her garden. I don't think she broke the cord…

Exactly what I expected based on the title and description.

My dog looks just like the sweet on the box. He's a beast with a "steel pipe" around his neck. Shortly after I received this cord there was a homeless man in the yard and he backed up about 10 feet and ran straight trying to break the line because he has so many of them. Clips and fishing line kept him in the yard with ease. The 2" Schedule 40 pipe it is tied to is now bent, but the line is holding up. I used a 3 foot section of heavy duty tow chain to go around the pipe and this tether is…

Great and very durable. But by the ocean they only last a year

I have bought these ties at least 4 times for my dogs. These really are the most durable ties you can buy. They are well made and have extremely strong hooks that won't break. They don't have a UV resistant plastic coating on the cable, so over time they will crack from exposure to the sun. Also, cable tents will rust at the point where the cable connects to the hook and will weaken over time. Expect a maximum of 12 to 18 months from those stretch marks before you need to replace them. They've…

Extra strong and ideal for strong dogs

After chewing over a million pieces of rope and getting tangled in chains around trees, I needed an alternative. That's when I started looking for cable ties. In Alaska we need something super powerful. I have a crazy little Malimute who refuses to be tied up unless she's in the sled with me. I love giving my pups room to run and when I saw this tie was 40ft I fell in love with it. I didn't know what to expect in terms of durability as I've never used a product like this before, but I'm very…

I liked it when I received it but it didn't last a year. upset.

I am very satisfied with the quality of this product. I have a 125 lb Newfoundland and Retriever mix and used zip ties that weren't made for his weight group but they held up aside from the usual rust issue with the clasp. This tie is made from a very flexible rubber/plastic coating that is very strong to the touch. The closures are a bit backwards for me, but I'm getting used to them. The package said the tie should be changed every year for dog safety/less chance of escaping, so I suspect…

Not indestructible/escape proof

Well to be honest the dog I bought this for is an escape artist. Still, I'm a bit disappointed with this product. I've had it for a little less than two months and he's already broken it. He is a blue healer, black lab mix, weighs 50-60 pounds. I can't imagine it will last long against a larger breed. He managed to chew through the vinyl sleeve enough to expose the inner metal wire, and with a little help from rain/rust, broke it in half. a complete metal chain appears to break (as in dungeons…

Fairly good - about 3000 hours of use

I've used the cheaper and less durable version a few times and was disappointed that the seal would tear and the inner wire would break over time. I only have about 4 months of the light version of this tie. I bought this hoping for better results - and I got them! The coating is thicker and more durable. My dog's activity has not changed. but while the lighter tie often tangled, this one never did. The clip never gets stuck or binds (nothing speaks of frustration like removing a stuck clip…
