What junk. None of my pencils sharpen. I have regular drawing pencils and it seems the razor's rotating mechanism inside doesn't touch my pencil. There is a sharpening sound, but there is no sharpness. I'm so upset now. I would never buy these because I use a knife and sharpen them. They're getting so good and the graphite doesn't run out that quickly, now I want it. I finally gave up and this is what happened. aggravating.

This might be the worst "disposable" sharpener made today. I bought several of these and each had to endure several hundred pencils before completely breaking. Failure of this product is not due to overuse or abuse. This is a totally buggy and useless product; I would recommend Bostitch to stop manufacturing before they ruin their name in terms of product quality.

So yes, it looks good and is easy to use, but it doesn't sharpen at all. I had a new pack of pencils and it didn't even make sense. Pre-sharpened pencils expose a little more graphite so you can use them for a while but then go back to the sharpener. Don't waste money despite all the stars. I'm not sure what pens people use to give this one so many stars, but it didn't even damage my solid wood (not plastic coated) pens. I surprisingly bought this electric sharpener to sharpen pencils which it does well. The only basis for comparison is my childhood 110v powered sharpeners which could be heard across the room and weighed 2lbs. This 12V DC sharpener is powered by an adapter.
