BOSTITCH caps for use with the sb150slbc-1 cap Stapler and n66bc-1 cap nailer. 1-Inch plastic caps eliminate pull-through when installing felt, house wrap and foam board insulation. The cap method proves to be 10 times faster than nailing by hand.
This is a spare for my nail gun. My Bostitch pistol doesn't mark primers well. I have a handful of primers on the ground that I am reloading into my gun. The convenience of the nailer outweighs the alignment issues. It is not recommended to use steel caps on roofing felt under steel panels. I pull the caps off the nails by hand or if I want to use a stapler.
I bought these for use in my Craftsman cap stapler (which several websites report is made by BOSTITCH). While the caps work great, the staples that come with the caps will NOT work in the Craftsman stapler at all as they fit too tight on the feed guide to feed properly. When I've replaced the Craftsman staples or regular BOSTITCH 1/4 x 1" staples, the Craftsman cap stapler works great.
Having used both Bostitch and Hitachi cap staplers I can safely say that Bostitch cap staplers are the best. They work seamlessly with the Bostitch stapler, are easy to load and inexpensive. Not only do Hitachi caps sometimes break, they sometimes don't come off the reel easily. Bostitch caps never tear and fit the stick individually.
