If you think you need a second tablet, rub the cup first. I thought I needed a second tablet but the stains were simply rubbed off with a sponge.

You have changed our lives. I hate washing bottles so we end up with some water bottles to wash in the sink. Thanks to them, we can clean our drinking bottles quickly and easily. Just fill it with hot water, add a tablet and after 30 minutes rinse it out and it's perfectly clean.

I am grateful to Bottle Bright for the good job it does removing tea and coffee stains from both metal and ceramic mugs. It's really easy to use and in most cases the results are excellent. The only exception was a frosted mug with very dark tea stains; Cleaning was required after processing with Bottle Bright. Otherwise it works very well.

I had a bottle that was soiled with baked on powder and was black on the bottom. The tablet removed 95% of the dirt and I used a bottle brush to remove the rest. Not sure if very hot water would work better, I've only used hot tap water. I've used it for general cleaning and it cleans well and doesn't stain or stain. Heavy, thick dirt may require 2 cleanings, but this is not cost effective.

I have a Zojirushi thermos that I have been making tea with for years. I thought it was hopeless because I couldn't wash off the brown film that had formed. I even went and bought a new one. When I saw this product I bought it and used it. It has been cleaned inside and looks like new again with no trace of brown. I don't have to open my new thermos. These are easy to use and great for removing tea/coffee stains from metal bottles. The directions say to use one tablet, but I've found it's better to use two tablets with warm water, especially if the container is large. While the pills clean bottles well, they don't remove lingering odors (eg, two pills left my husband's favorite coffee glass sparkling like new, but it still smelled like coffee).
