I bought these as they gave the impression of quality but they are a lot worse than the regular bottles I used to make for June and Kvass. They don't seal properly. Secondary fermentation is not possible. All my drinks were empty due to an air leak. They don't take any pressure at all. I'll try ordering thicker gaskets and see if that helps, but the metal holding the lid is pretty flimsy too. There is also no way to contact the carrier. I like the three bottles that survived. This review is a call to all shippers to use common sense when packing. Attach a fragile sticker to the outer packaging where it is clearly visible. Fill the carton with a cushion that is too large for fragile products.

I use these bottles for second fermentation water kefir. They hold soda very well and I find these rocker caps to be a lot easier to use than the Grolsch beer bottles I've used in the past.
