BougeRV 12 PCS Solar Connectors with Spanners - Solar Panel Cable Connectors (6 Pairs Male/Female) Review

I've used them a lot to create custom length cables and saved a lot of money compared to pre-made cables. They are very easy to use if you have a crimping tool.

Works as intended. I hooked one up wrong, but that was my fault. They are strong and durable and easy to use for DIY cable assembly. Used some to make Anderson Powerpole adapter cables.

I am new to solar energy. It is required to run a cable from two solar panels to the utility room to charge Jackery and store Bluetti. The solar connectors were easy to use (with a crimping tool) and the tools provided worked as needed. Good buy. I will buy again.

Always works perfectly. I ordered them because I mixed up some plugs (my fault) by using wrong plugs (small and large plugs). Don't make the same mistakes I did, slow down and make sure you're using the right connectors. Don't be an impatient beaver and waste your connections.

. I bought these because I needed to add them to my Renogy setup. They connect to the Renogy MC4, but I had to trim a tiny bit of excess plastic from the BougeRV's connection tabs. I think their quality control can solve this problem. Otherwise I have a 400w rooftop array and will see how the connectors match up.

This is a really solid kit. The parts are of good quality, the tools feel comfortable. I use them to make an extension cord from a solar panel to the back of a homemade solar generator. The cords coming out of the panel are only about 18 inches long so I had to make some extension cords to connect the panel to the generator.

Edit: I'm raising this to a 5 star rating for customer service. I was offered a set of tools that would fit the connectors. I based the quality on the odd size, but apparently they sell two different sizes of MC4 connectors. They will suit my needs but if I wanted something for a more permanent installation I would look elsewhere. Bought Renogy MC4 tools and they don't fit, end caps are smaller than wrenches. I ended up using channel locks to tighten them up.

They worked great, I had to run 10 AWG wire from the roof panels to the garage. Last month we had heavy rain, hail and other storms and no problems or shorts from water. I also bought MC4 wrenches but didn't even use their regular pliers and they're ok if you want to save $5 there. One of the downsides is that they're a little stiff, don't click together, and don't open effortlessly. a bit of power (I think due to the weatherproof pads, but maybe a design/manufacturing issue).
