This flash works very well and works great with my Nikon. I wouldn't use it for heavy work as it tends to burn the front plastic after prolonged use, but for the occasional shot you'll be very happy. This flash is far superior to any pop-up flash.

When I first got this flash it was great, never had any problems with it and got good quality photos. After a few months it became very unreliable and most of the time it didn't work at all. At first I thought it might be the batteries but when I replaced them the flash stopped working. Overall I like this flash if I can get it to work but I wouldn't recommend this flash due to its unreliability.

My first external flash, no complaints. In spring 2011 I switched from 15 years of experience in digital photography to my first Nikon D90 DSLR. I have images I cherish from my first Magic Camera which provided a small fraction of a megapixel to work with. So the climb was fun. I've only taken a few shots with Bower flash at the moment, but given my ignorance I found it easy to use and what was ever lacking in results from just a few shots was probably more my fault than Bower's. . .

I was a little nervous at first about buying a non-Nikon brand but so far I'm very happy. I read a lot of reviews before buying and for the price you can't beat it. I can't compare it to Nikon SB and I'm not a pro, but this flash works fine. It works with all Nikon functions, the recycle time is good, it can move up, down, left and right, forward and backward and has a lot of choice.
