Excellent glass (for the price)

looks very professional with this lens. Can't use it for everything, but there's almost no spherical effect for such a wide angle. Highly recommended

Best Wide Angle Lens for the Money

I mainly use this lens for night photography. i love everything about it There is very little distortion in the corners, very balanced light distribution and it's built like a tank. You don't have to trust the focus markers, but it didn't really affect my photography. Also remember that this is the exact same lens as Samyang, Rokinon and others so find the best deal you can find.

Great lens for taking pictures of the night sky.

I bought this lens for a specific purpose, to photograph the Milky Way at night with my Nikon D600. He lived up to expectations, he opened up a whole new world of photography for me. It is solidly built and easy to use. You just have to get used to the fact that there is no autofocus and the lens works best with the camera in full manual mode. I also used this lens to take pictures of a salon we are selling and it was able to capture floor to ceiling shots of small spaces. This lens will not…

I think I have a bad one

I've been using manual lenses (including Rokinon) for over 30 years and couldn't get this lens to work well with me. It even seemed to be sitting incorrectly on the camera (which might explain the focus issue). It was ridiculously blurry when I opened it fully, which is basically where I need it to be. It was blurry when I wasn't. I couldn't get a good, clear picture outdoors in broad daylight. It was about as sharp as the standard lens. I sent it back and will probably try again in a few…

Excellent lens for the money

After much research I decided to try this lens. Looking at online reviews and reading articles, I found out that Bower, Rokinon and Samyang are the same company but have different names for branding purposes. However, this lens is structurally identical to the 14mm 2.8 lenses listed under these brands. So take the one you find the best deal for! I've been using this lens for a few months now and I have to say I love what it does for the money. It has a permanent place in my kit alongside the…
