Not suitable for Jaguar XJ8. (although the parts mechanic says it should be)

Whilst this part was clearly designed for these engines it will not work on the Jaguar XJ8 (the car I worked on was a 2003). The factory body has a slight forward tilt towards the vertical part - this device has no such tilt, instead it looks perfect at a 90 degree angle to the base. Also, this car doesn't use the optional smaller hose ridge on the side. The odd thing is that many other websites are selling essentially the same part as a replacement for the Jaguar XJ8 and it will NOT fit. I…
