Injustice!

The terrible injustice of the Holocaust! The first 6 chapters hummed non-stop, repeating the same information over and over until your mind went numb and not even remotely explained anything. what happened in the concentration camp in his backyard or what his father did. Some of the events in the book were left to the reader's imagination rather than being a lesson, however depressing they may be. Heartbreaking and beautifully written

Bruno is 9 years old. His father has a cool job, he is responsible for many things. It's a big compound with a huge wire fence and lots of people - men and boys - on the other side. The story of the son of a Nazi commander and an innocent Jewish boy is absolutely amazing and full of tragedy that could bring some to tears.
