Good field of view and HD image

I installed this in the plastic lip of my '09 RAV4 and it works great! Good field of view and HD picture. I wouldn't mind the built in grid lines but they work better than the digital overlay on my main unit. Highly recommended.

    Built-in camera BOYO VTK380HD

Great camera, but really small. Easy installation. The only downside is that the included drill is slightly smaller than the camera body. I had to drill a hole with sandpaper to widen it a bit. I installed it on a 2014 Laredo Grand Cherokee.

    • 1/4 inch HD CMOS image sensor with 560 TV lines (800 x 533)

    • Not the best

    Image quality is degrading

I bought this camera for Jeep Wrangler at the same time as I bought a cheap $10 camera for my F150, both from Revain. Initially, the image quality was the same on both cameras; However, after 2 years the F150's camera picture still looks great and what was installed on the jeep is terrible (see picture above). Save $35 and choose the cheaper Revain option.

    Pros
    • Camera angle setting (up, down, left or right)
    Cons
    • Don't really like it, everything is fine

    Waste of time and money

Bought this camera in December and had it professionally installed, in February the video started shrinking with lines running across the screen, in March it stopped working completely. I brought it back to the store, they checked it out, it turned out the camera was shot. Out of the box it looked like it was a little wrinkled around the lens like someone had already used it. I had to buy the next camera in the store because they gave me a 3 year guarantee.

    Pros
    • Minimum lighting: 0.05 lux
    Cons
    • Clarity

I installed it on the rear door handle of my Xterra 2012, the video quality is good but as you can see from the pictures it is different from what is advertised as that on Amazon Lens on what I have is longer, the attached hole saw is smaller than the base camera mount so you will need a larger lens to mount the camera. The silicone seal around the camera is bad, as you can see from the photos it will sooner or later be damaged by water from the inside as it is not sealed well. You can also…

just installed on a 2000 toyota sienna van directly above.

Installed fresh on a 2000 Toyota Sienna Van just above the license plate. The cable from the tailgate to the front LCD mirror is more than enough. The size of the video connector RCA head is not practical: it is very difficult to climb into the ceiling through the insulation of the rear door cables. So I cut off the RCA head. After digging into the front, solder back 3 very thin wires. Another disadvantage is that the factory position of the camera shows an inverted image. It is necessary to…

Nice but can drive you crazy with the right angle or rotation

I bought the camera because of its adjustable angle, it was good because it works with my car (2013 Ford Escape ) is inclined towards its max. The downside of adjustability is that it takes extra time to make sure you're in the right position. Not only do you set the angle, but once you loosen the locking screw, the camera can be rotated 360 degrees within the base, and there's no indicator or reference mark on the camera to tell if it's rotated correctly. The set screw is on the back (if…

    Good versatile camera. Limited installation.

Decent camera. I've read some reviews where people have complained that the adjustment screw acts upwards, but it's a tiny screw and you have to apply a proportionate amount of force. I adjusted mine about 4 times before positioning it to my liking with no issues. It's not a heavy camera, so there's no need to drag it. The only problem I've found is that the spring clip that holds it in the hole isn't rated for material thicker than 1/16 inch. My bumper was just under 1/8 inch thick and kept…
