Something good, something bad

Plays Blue Ray but a regular DVD stutters on an HP Pavilion Windows 10 laptop. For an additional $59.99 per year, you can download an update (plagiarism).

Smooth transaction and fast delivery, came earlier than expected, delivered date

Fantastic product, however the Blu-ray player is region locked. Nowadays, when virtually everyone is ordering media online, locking a player's region is completely unreasonable. It's not that hard to get around, I recommend using Leawo Blu Ray Player. I have been using this player for many years to perfectly play all Blu-rays from different regions. M-Disc technology is a high quality product that is much needed today when a disc can last up to 1000 years. UHD works great, tested on my homeโ€ฆ

Does not do what is advertised

The included Cyberlink software does not allow 4K UHD video recording with an LG drive! And that's even after paying over $200 to upgrade the Cyberlink software, because when you try to use the software, a popup says that 4K UHD recording is only supported with upgrades to Cyberlink. Then check on Cyberlink, they don't support 4K UHD recording at all as they don't have a license from the Blu-Ray group! I bought a drive to record a homemade UHD movie on Blu-ray and now I find out I can't!

But it can play 4K Blu-ray.

If you don't have an Intel motherboard/processor that supports SGX. This is an Intel security feature. Cyberlink PowerDVD will not play 4K Blue Ray. Your graphics card must also support HDR and be an Intel graphics card. Generally if you are on an AMD platform (Ryzen in my case) there is a chance that SOLI has HDR enabled on Windows 10 as I am using my Samsung 4K HDR TV as the display. In my opinion, PowerDVD makes ridiculous claims. PowerDVD plays regular Blu-rays but not DVDFab player. Iโ€ฆ
