Incredible value for money brush cutter

This is a great price for a basic brush cutter. Mine came with some rust but I used a 3M green sponge to remove the rust and then sprayed some vegetable oil all over the knife and then wiped it clean. My favorite feature is the ergonomic handle, which fits my large hand well. I am satisfied with the BPS brand and the Ukrainian craftsmanship is top notch.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • So far so good

Great knife for knives and tools

This redesigned HK5 knife is an amazing work of art. I've compared other $200-$300 knives and this one has the same features for only $29. Razor sharp right out of the box, comes with a carefully crafted genuine leather sheath. The handle has indentations for the fingers, it is very comfortable to hold. The description is accurate. Handmade in Ukraine - ancient Eastern European attention to detail. I am planning to buy for my grandson.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not as thick as other knives

great price

Very happy with this knife for what I paid but I want you to be clear about what you are getting. Good: - Great price, this is a sturdy knife - Hardest steel I've owned - With a little (ok, big) work it looks and works like a knife that costs three times the price - Great for bushcrafting and camping (great for flogging) Bad: There were deep nicks and ridges everywhere. One on the handle didn't allow you to hold it without removing it first. The blade was sharp, but the sharpening was uneven…

Great knife, very sharp and easy on the wallet!

This is my second and definitely NOT my last BPS knife! This is a great knife at a great price! I boiled apple cider vinegar to apply the patina for protection. I do this with all my high carbon reeds. I then apply several coats of boiled linseed oil to the handles for extra protection. After that I tighten the blade, but be careful because this blade cuts you in three different ways: long, deep and through! . Voila!

  • Pleasant to use

Incredibly sharp! Nice thick blade.

Wow! Got my knife today and that thing is damn sharp. Devilish! It definitely doesn't have the fit and finish of ESEE knives or other big brands, but it's solid, feels good in the hand and comes with a nice leather sheath. I can beat him to death if it doesn't last long, no big deal. Haven't got it working yet, but first impressions are amazing. Update: Took him into the woods for a bit of hacking and beating. It did everything my BK2 could, it just took me a little more effort because the…

Really great offer!

received my BPS HK5 knife today and was very satisfied right from the start! This is my fourth BPS knife and none of them have disappointed me. Razor sharp out of the box. A little leveling made it shockingly sharp. I have medium sized hands and I like the grip. Finger grooves ensure a secure hold. In the upper front part of the handle there is a recess suitable for the thumb. Nice gesture! That helps with downsizing. Definitely a stronger knife than my other BPS knives. Full tail and thicker…

Not the best option for outdoor activities

I have bought BPS B1, BPS HK1S and this BPS HK5. To be honest the B1 and HK1S are fantastic knives of surprisingly high quality. (By the way, all sheaths are of excellent quality.) But I hesitated to take this HK5 because I didn't know if the handle would fit my hand, but in fact it fits my hand perfectly! Unfortunately, the knife itself looks like a prototype or "second one", since the slightly rusted shaft is serrated and the blade tip by about two knives. . I love the design of the HK1S so…

Pros
  • High test results for grip and durability
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Not sure there is much better for the price

The knife is sharp as everyone says I know it will beat my previous knife that 5 times was more expensive. Steel isn't that good, but it seems like a good tool. He's very sharp. It's not the kind of knife you iron and paper cut with in your office (it could very well be), but it's the knife you want to use on camping and hiking trips, and if you lose or damage it, you won't really sweat or kick me. Leave your fancy expensive knives at home, grab this one and actually use it. BEAT IT UP.it can…

Great knife but came with some surface rust

3.5/5 Was on a hike and wanted to buy a new knife at the last minute. Was looking for a Revain looking for something to my liking and the BPS Knives HK5 and Adventurer proved to be clear winners. I decided to buy both as one would arrive a day earlier than the other and I wasn't 100% sure when I would be leaving. The HK5 and Adventurer are pretty solid knives. The HK5 is probably one of the best knives I've ever held in my hands. The wooden shells are pretty good - they could use a little oil…
