Works best with CB and radio equipment

Antenna works great. It's quite heavy and the base is very large. Looks a bit strange on a magnetic mount but SWR is good on VHF and UHF. God, very good range with a 25 watt radio

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Available in black only

Great antenna! in CB and talkback radios

I needed an antenna that was short enough to get into my garage but still usable for local relay/wire/simplex QSOs. What a lifesaver this antenna was! Short Excellent reception on 2M and 70cm with low SWR.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This antenna is VERY solidly built and is exactly the same.

This antenna is of VERY solid construction and is ideal for this application. I only use it on VHF and UHF via the Comet duplexer, and if necessary I add a 900MHz triplexer. The time will show.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Secret

Excellent antenna as an accessory

This is an excellent antenna but does not require a ground layer but does have some static only a short distance from the tower. Not big, but about the size of a quarter wave on a magnetic mount. The base is a lot bulkier than I thought it would be. Definitely heavier than I thought so you'll need a solid base or strong magnet.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Quality

Excellent antenna. - CB and Talkback radios

Working well. The output produces precise VHF 1/4 waves. Remember this thing is bulky. Also, it's heavy and the base is bigger than a regular NMO (the plastic spool at the bottom is bigger than the NMO's diameter. Sturdy construction, but be aware that if you have a Chinsee-style trunk mount or something flimsy , it's probably not going to work well Great antenna.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Some issues

Pleasantly Surprised by VW Vanagon's GMRS Performance

Cabriolet VW Vanagons have a fiberglass roof, so this is a typical situation where an ungrounded antenna is needed. I ordered this based on the spec, thinking "it would be nice to have something that also covers ham" when I get my ham license. At this point I'm a little surprised at how well something designed to handle 3 scopes works on what I want. The NEEDS for me were no aircraft floor, no GMRS frequency support and no feathers, tk. the van is big. I recommend having an SWR meter or even…

Pros
  • GOLS Certificate
Cons
  • Negative Present
