Softer than I expected but probably good for broken/injured ribs to minimize pain from sudden movements or deep breathing. I was looking for something between a hard back brace and an Ace brace that I can use as a chest brace when sitting and working at the computer. It's a little more supportive than a bandage. The velcro is VERY secure - two nails broke trying to take it off! LOL Good product overall but tried to use it for other purposes.

I ordered this item for off-label use. I just had a bilateral mastectomy and the compression has greatly reduced the pain. The surgical compression bra wasn't enough so I used a better bandage but obviously I couldn't put it on myself and had to rely on someone to help me. That's great! I can easily wrap my chest by myself, it's soft and comfortable to wear. I am very satisfied with the product and my gloss. Haha

Great product. In 2012 he fractured 12 ribs that did not heal properly for many years. Four of the 12 were broken in three or more places, resulting in "floating ribs" that are too painful to describe in terms that are safe to examine. I've had three intercostal nerve blocks with no success.
