Velcro around thumb doesn't hold up

I bought two of these a few days apart, one for each hand. The second one I bought fits and works great - stabilizes my thumb and allows me to type easily. However, the former is chunkier and the Velcro around my thumb, which is key to stabilization, keeps coming off. I will be contacting the company for a replacement as the second one I bought works so well I think it must be an accident. Hopefully.

Pros
  • Medical supplies and equipment
Cons
  • old

works exactly as expected

Very happy with this brace. I had one that limited my thumb's movement but it wasn't enough so I decided to try these. At first the palm seemed too bulky to me, but over time it softened and now everything is fine. The thumb can move up from the ankle, which I find useful as most things I really need require both hands, but this brace immobilizes the lower thumb and wrist where pain occurs. I wouldn't have been able to put up a Christmas decoration without them.

Pros
  • Hand and wrist braces
Cons
  • Negative gift

New moms! It's a ticket!

A few months after my son was born I felt like my thumb was stretched. I had pain just below my thumb knuckle every time I tried to pick it up or pull my thumb out of my hand (e.g. when opening a pair of scissors). I wore the standard pharmacy arm bandage for several months with little improvement. In fact, the pain got worse. So! A few days after trying this brace, my pain was greatly reduced and my thumb strength and mobility improved. In addition, this orthosis does not prevent me from…

Pros
  • Orthotics, splints and bandages
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
