I didn't tighten it, but after a week of wearing the buckle fell off along the line. I bought three from the seller and am now hesitant to use the other two. Excellent belt for work and sports; It stretches with your body as you bend, squat, etc. It stretches constantly over time, so make sure you buy the right size. I got a medium (32-34 I think) a few years ago and over time it got so long that the end of the slack reached the back loop of my pants!
