There are many posts about this product and the Series 3 replacement foil and cutter. Both work with various Braun razors and I have the 8995. I think I had it for ten years or more and at one time the series 3 stock parts worked better than the series 5, but the last few times i bought a series 3 it didnt seem to be as good as i remembered. Firstly, this product took five extra days to arrive, got lost in the post somewhere, eventually the packaging was intact but the packaging looks worse. The foil is not strong, you have to pick it up every time you put it on and it is already bent, it is very difficult to see the photos. Shaving with blades only resulted in a medium shave. I don't find the blades very sharp. Very bad quality.

So I bought cheap aftermarket film at a big auction. I saved $10 off the cost of it but it was rubbish. I didn't cut and it was very painful to use. I then ordered this Original Braun film and the cut was clean and painless. I recommend sticking with a well-known brand when replacing the foil and cutting blade.

I bought this replacement kit in April 2019 and the shaver is working like new again. About six months ago the quality of the cut began to deteriorate and then rolled down. Broken after 10 years of using the original block and foil. The foil is torn, not good. Braun is the best, uses many other razors, shave when your skin is clean and dry - morning before shower, almost like a razor, no cuts or skin irritation.
