This is a powerful, semi-light hand mixer. Five speeds and unique beater design. It runs smoothly and is quite quiet, which I like very much. I also love that it comes with a drawstring pouch to store the clubs so they don't hang around in the drawer. I think it's great that it's included. I often didn't want to use my big mixer, so the hand mixer is the perfect tool. This whips cream quickly, can knead cake dough quickly, has enough power and is not as loud as many hand mixers. I am comparing this to another very famous hand blender I have. This blender is much more powerful and I feel the blending hooks are stronger. Level 1 is only needed for beating butter and sugar. Definitely a compromise between design/performance and price. It's a good distance from large mixing bowls and I like that the whisk tips are thin rather than the thicker, old-fashioned ones.
