Bad design, water not hot.

The body is too thin, which means it takes longer to heat the water, and then the water does not stay hot for a long time. Not hot enough to make tea or use in a French Press. The position of the button to open the lid means your hand is in the way of the steam. The mouth is quite narrow, which makes cleaning difficult. behind the handle so you can't see it when filling the kettle!

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Too blunt

Nice size and simplicity

It's big what I wanted. During the day I make about 4 liters of tea in the morning. This teapot is simple, attractive. The cable is very short, but I can live with that. It wobbles a little on its base, but that's not a problem. I just noticed something. It was slightly more expensive than some of the others. If it lasts, it's worth it. My last kettle lasted a few years. No fancy features, just a switch with an auto shut off when cooking.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Almost never

The smell of burnt plastic

Works perfectly but the bottom of the pot itself smells more and more burned every day (not the stand with the plug) Probably the wrong quality of plastic. I suspect it will stop working soon. There are also concerns about fire safety. I am tempted to open and inspect but will return to Revain and hope the seller is more careful in their choice of suppliers. It's also possible that they know they're getting worse, throw them on the market, and bet most people won't come back or complain. Just…

Kettle for coffee, tea and espresso

I love my new kettle! the design is perfect; it looks wonderful on my kitchen table. The only thing that would make it better would be if it had a "keep water warm" setting. the water takes a long time to cool down, so if I want a second cup of tea right away, that's no problem. but if I want a second cup in, say, an hour and a half, I have to turn the kettle back on. but compared to the little pot I used on my stove (which spits water onto the stove when it boils), this new kettle is my new…

Three years and more and more driving.

This is our everyday kettle for tea, coffee and other tasks that require hot water. previous kettle). We treat it with white vinegar about every month to remove mineral deposits. We equipped it with an outlet timer so hot water is ready for your morning coffee. [UPDATE: After 4.5 years of very heavy use, the kettle finally stopped working. I'm not sure where the error is. Nothing obvious. It just won't turn on anymore. (A rather harmless type of failure.). This kettle has lasted longer than any

Absolutely normal! for kitchen and dining room

Brentwood KT-1800 2L stainless steel kettle is a handy tool that will help you forget about the kettle on the stove. It doesn't take up much space and the water boils fairly quickly. This is key as it's not as fast as I was hoping based on experience in China where hotels and most households have lightning fast kettles. The Chinese models are not designed for US use (I don't like using active transducers) so I decided to try the Brentwood 2 as they are similar in size. Hmmm, only B+ in speed…

Calculating the water level is difficult for middle-aged eyes

Despite many positive reviews, this kettle annoys me more than not. Most annoying is trying to see the water level with its narrow indicator bar and tiny imprint just below the handle. My middle-aged eyes aren't happy at all, even with new progressives. I used to have a stainless steel 1.7 Secura that is no longer made. I'm used to a circus tent that opens with the flick of a switch. With this pot, the opening for pouring water is quite narrow. You also need to open it manually. Notably, the…

Not for us.: Kettles & Tea Makers

My wife and I have been using the Philips HD4651 for a number of years and by comparison this kettle just doesn't stand up to scrutiny. The first problem is that there is no insulating layer and the outside of the pot gets HOT. This is a problem for anyone who gets burned in the kitchen (sorry honey). Second, there's no audible indicator to warn you when the water is boiling, so you know, the whole "observable pot" thing. Finally that. is. slow. I have a cooking competition side by side with…
