Good service! in Fermentation & More

Cylinders are very fragile and one of them arrived broken. The company changed immediately. I use my cylinders for fermented. They have worked very well so far. I've read some comments that said the forks move or go away. The reason for this is that when the cap is put on, the bottle necks are wet. When I dry the neck of the bottle where the cork is. he was perfect and didn't move anymore.

Fragile plastic will cause cracks in the floor.

I'm not a big fan of these gateways. They worked great for the first few batches, but then they started making crackling noises when you pushed them in to push in the cork. Of course, the cracks were thin cracks in the base plastic that spread and began to leak. I lost two gateways due to this problem. If you are very careful with them you can make them last for a while. However, don't trust them as something close to a daily driver.

  • GOLS certificate

Best Cork Design

I immediately got to work because I had a gallon of wort but no balloons. I was concerned they wouldn't fit in a standard gallon jug after reading some of the reviews here and elsewhere saying I should use a #6 cork. These airlocks must be the smartest design ever built. It was easy enough to wash and put back in place. Thanks to everyone who mentioned drying the cork and the inside of the jug neck to prevent slipping. I will never go back to balloons.

They work great: fermentation and more

My husband and I enjoy making our own wine/mead. He broke the original airlock that came with our winemaking kit when trying to put it back in the cork after I cleaned it. So I jumped straight to Revain and bought three more. They shipped quickly which was great. A quick wash and we're back in business. They do an excellent job of releasing gases while the yeast does its job and the water keeps unwanted and unsanitary bacteria from entering. They fit our 1 liter and 5 gallon jugs. They are very

Good for home brewing, requires 1 gallon of tape Brittle plastic

Price is right. They don't want to stay safe in my 1 gallon jar without tape. In retrospect, I should have ordered a cork along with a jar of a certain brand. But if you have a couple of mismatched gallon jugs and don't mind using duct tape to make sure it really sticks, I would recommend this product. Advice! Be sure to dry the inner rim before inserting the stopper, if wet it will pop out. My understanding is that gallon jugs typically use a stopper with the number six, which is six and a…

Honest review. on Fermentation & More

Description of the article: Rubber stopper for glass bottles. THEY WILL NOT WORK WELL. Use cork #7. 6.5 will fit, but will most likely be pushed too deep into the bottle's opening and difficult to remove. I ordered both 6.5 and 7 to find out. Don't repeat my mistake. Learn from him. DIY Suggestions: To be honest, I don't know. I think it would be a bit more telling that someone wouldn't buy these for their 5/6 gallon bottles only to find they are too small. Do I buy again or as a gift? no I…

Great quality but #6.5 plugs WILL NOT FIT 1 gallon. bottles!

Ordered these for my 1 gallon glass bottles I bought from Revain (four 1 gallon packs for $20-30) and they DO NOT FIT AT ALL. I read that they are #6.5 plugs and thought based on some of the other reviews here they would still fit, but unfortunately they don't fit at all. Compared to the #6 stops I've previously purchased which seated firmly and properly in the jugs (about 1/2-3/4 of the way), they took a lot of effort to push through only about 1/3 of the way Path. deep down the throat - and…
