They work great: Safety and Buoyancy Devices

I bought these for my kayak because we sometimes get in the water after dark. My friend bought these 2 years ago to replace the running lights on his 1970's Boston Whaler (he had wiring problems as most old boats often do) and he swears by them. Whenever the light decides not to turn on, it just clicks and turns on. Because of the success, I decided to buy them for my kayaks as well.

Pros
  • Handy Item
Cons
  • Clarity

Exactly what I was looking for.

Love these little things. Ideal for a kayak. Including the batteries were a nice touch. I also ordered a cheaper pair of similar lamps. They weren't that bright and didn't contain batteries. IMHO it was worth the extra $4. Straps make it easy to attach/detach lights. I would recommend taking them off when towing a kayak or boat. While the straps hold up well on the water, I wouldn't trust them to handle 65+ mph winds on the freeway.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Disappear

Be seen on the water!

These essential night sailing boat lights are just what the doctor ordered. They are much brighter than traditional lamps. I was able to quickly attach them to the railing of my boat. They were a bit loose so I used 100mph chrome tape to make sure they were facing the right way. It's okay but I'm not worried about the lighting I need to be on the water. These lights are so easy to set up and use that I almost think something this bright should be a must on all boats. Brightness is key to being…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor pursuits
Cons
  • Unreliable

Self-illuminating is good for sports

The red light often turns on by itself. Drain your batteries. However, the seller offers a lifetime guarantee and contacted me right after my review to send me a new one for free. stands for a really excellent service! I should have contacted the seller first as I now regret leaving a negative review :( but I thought it was too late as my review was a few months after the original purchase. So it goes without saying: me HEREBY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE NAVIGATION LIGHTS WITH GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Nothing here

I was unlucky they are not very waterproof

Bought them for our kayak a little over a month ago and so far they have been great. Significant rusting and oxidation was observed in the battery compartment after exposure to water and an occasional afternoon shower. If I knew they were so easily damaged by moisture, I would take them off after every walk and open them to dry; but since the description said they were waterproof I didn't think I would have to babysit them like that. Theoretically a great idea, unfortunately they disappoint in…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I won't say anything

all the better. As soon as I noticed them, I knew what I had found.

I was looking for an affordable solution to add night lights to my boat and if I can adapt it to my kayaks, all the better. As soon as I noticed them, I knew I had found the cure! The ends of these cool little lanterns are actually flexible loops that allow them to easily slip over any 5/8" to 1" diameter pipe. What I did was take a few of these and put them on about 4″ 1/2″ PVC with end caps to create a portable set of lights that I can move from boat to yak in seconds. Tape off the standard 4

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Initially thought this was a great idea because I didn't need to drill mine.

I bought these for my fishing kayak when I go for a night or early morning walk. Initially I thought this was a great idea because I wouldn't have to drill into the kayak since it's battery operated and mounts around the nose grip. I took it fishing two days after receiving it. Remember the title/description says they are 'waterproof'. The lights were not below the kayak's waterline so they were not submerged. There were only a few splashes. At the end of the ride, water or moisture was visible

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Updates available

This light is a good addition to my kayak for those morning walks.

This light is a great addition/addition to my kayak for those morning walks that I start before dawn. I fish in busy Puget Sound in Washington State during the Pacific salmon season. I tried adding LED strip navigation lights to my kayak but the drilling and wiring seemed excessive after all the other expenses I incurred to keep my Hobie Outback fully fishable. These lights are economical and provide the light I was looking for. But they are not waterproof as many others have said. Not even…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Can exchange

The plastic ones are fine, the aluminum ones are much better

So I'm writing this to follow up on a pair of these rubber/plastic Bright Eyes Lights LEDs. My first impression was that they were nice and compact and even came with spare batteries which is nice. After a fishing trip with these lights in my tackle bag, my bag got wet in the rain and sat in the garage for 1 day. When I took the lights out of the box I found that one of the lights on the internal circuit board was rusted and stuck so I had to remove the battery to turn it off. I noticed that…

Pros
  • This is awesome
Cons
  • Some bugs
