The construction is pretty solid, but the lamp tension cannot be tightened enough, it hangs open/vertical all the time and there is no way to tighten it. Using a Phillips screwdriver does not help. The clip is not attached to the lamp arm, you simply insert it into a 1.5 inch deep hole. What a disappointment, I was so excited I installed this for my father who has neovascular glaucoma.

Best magnification positioning bracket set I have ever seen. The light is really bright, no glare on the subject area. The positioning hand makes it amazing for me. Many other loupes I've tried before that supposedly had positioning arms that were easy to position and had to stay in place once positioned just never worked. this one does the job perfectly!
