Description of BrightstarDB

BrightstarDB is an RDF triple store. It does not require the definition of a database schema, and with the RDF data model model you can easily add and integrate data of all shapes. We also implement the standard SPARQL query language, update language and protocol so you can use off-the-shelf client tools to connect to your data stores.

Good tool, good support and community

I like that it's open source (as opposed as other commercial products). This makes me feel more comfortable about using this software in my organization. The documentation could be better for new users/developers who are starting out or have limited experience working wtih DBMSs. Also there needs to be some way to run tests against our db without having to go through their GUI app which seems buggy at times. They have really helped us get past issues we were experiencing when trying to work…

  • It works well especially if you want all your data stored locally instead off cloud storage such as AWS S3 etc
