Unless I have to judge the fiber burn rate, will you get exactly what you order? In this case I used about a gallon of lamp oil with a wick, it looks like it burned about 1-2 inches of the wick. Very satisfied.

Item arrived quickly and was as described in the seller's listing. Unfortunately the wicks did not fit my lanterns and were very difficult to attach. I see that as my problem. Perhaps the product description could be updated to better describe the thickness of the wick. The width was ok but they were a bit thick for my flashlights. Still, I would recommend this seller's product for proper flashlights.

I have read that incorrect wick thickness and width can cause the flame to move towards the fuel bulb. Although the lack of oxygen would probably have stopped the flames, I didn't want to risk it. So I researched. The weave and thickness of this piece matched the weave and thickness of the original wick of my antique 1875 oil lamp. However, it can be used for a lamp of any age. A very good quality. I will definitely buy this again.

The wick was delivered as advertised and in good condition. My problem may be due to my ignorance. I stuck a 1/16" wick into the 1/8" wick holder, then stuck the combination into the top of the Turkish style oil lamp, filled the lamp with oil and made sure the oil covered the exposed portion of the wick reached (1/8). 4") and lit the wick.
