2 ordered - standard bulbs didn't fit

I thought I had a defective product so I ordered a replacement. The same problem when replacing - ordinary oil lamps will not fit.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Big and bulky

It doesn't fit: Oil Lamps and Accessories

I bought this to replace the bulb for my vintage oil lamp that I've had for probably thirty years. It doesn't fit and I can't find a replacement for the old one that was damaged. I bought one and the other the same size and they both don't fit. Discouraging.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • boring packaging

Goes perfectly with the standard

The block is made abroad and they claim it's a standard base but it's two thousand inches off. Doesn't sound like much until you put it on an American antique glass stand. Fit, but I had to adjust the threads on the lid part.

Pros
  • Good price
Cons
  • Not sure

Disappointed: Oil Lamps and Accessories

This item doesn't fit my oil lamp. I thought it was a standard size but it was too small to screw onto the lamp. I just replaced the globe and burner with my other lamp and the burner fitted perfectly so I figured I could order a new burner for this one too. I just took out the wick and continued to use the old burner.

Pros
  • Free for Educational Purposes
Cons
  • Some Challenges

had to be returned. older lamps are threaded on the inside of the "neck". This is done for the threads on the outside of the lamp neck. very nice, but not suitable for my lamp. Be sure to check the threads before ordering as the product information does not describe the thread location.

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • Uncertain

The lamp sockets will not fit standard US oil lamps.

The lamp looked good and the dimensions were correct, but the sockets do not screw into the base of the lamp as the grooves do not match. I've tried it on 3 different oil lamps and it hasn't screwed into any of them, although it looks like it should fit. I will look for another provider. This product should get less than one star as it is useless to me.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Protection

Not like in the photo. Useless to me.

The base as in the photo is different from what was sent then sent back. The base where the block screws onto the lamp resembles a bottle cap or wide-mouth jar with threads on the inside of the lid. The diameter didn't matter, so I didn't measure it. If it was like the picture, it would have a better rating. (5 months later) I bought a burner at a hardware store that looked like the one they sent me. The packaging said the base would detach from the top. When I removed the base the top looked…

Pros
  • beautiful thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
